Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin as the child star defending his house from bandits, was a raging success. No one can forget him rigging his house with a series of traps, or slapping aftershave onto his cheeks to only immediately regret the decision. His skills as an actor — making us all fall in love with his character, Kevin — are nearly as well-known as his adorable face. His expressive eyes and sincere smile did us in; but age did him in. A more current look at Culkin finds him looking frighteningly thin, washed out, and all but sickly. It’s a shocking turnout for the beloved child star, which has many recoiling in surprise.
