Bill and Melinda Gates to divorce after 27 years

Melinda Gates, who was formerly a general manager at Microsoft, has opened up about the challenges in her marriage. In her 2019 book, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes The World, she wrote about the unique struggles of being a mother and wife to one of the world’s richest men, and also tackled the broader issue of women’s inequality in and out of marriage in the United States.
