Victoria Caroline Beckham was born 1974 at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex and raised in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire. She is the first of three children born to Jacqueline Doreen, a former insurance clerk and hairdresser, and Anthony William Adams, who worked as an electronics engineer. They founded an electronics wholesale business which allowed a comfortable upbringing for Victoria and her sister Louise and brother Christian Adams. In 1980, she watched the musical film Fame and subsequently made the decision to pursue a musical career.
