Thornton was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas,is an American actor, filmmaker, singer-songwriter and drummer.He is son of Virginia Roberta (née Faulkner), a psychic, and William Raymond “Billy Ray” Thornton (November 1929 – August 1974), a high school history teacher and basketball coach who died when Thornton was eighteen. At seven months of age, Thorton set the Clark County record for heaviest infant, at thirty pounds.
