Sam Dastyari born 28 July 1983 in Sari, is an Australian Senator representing New South Wales, and former General Secretary of the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party.After graduating from Baulkham Hills High School, Dastyari enrolled in the University of Sydney where he studied for a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws but soon dropped out. He has since completed undergraduate studies at Macquarie University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in politics.On 21 August 2013, a joint sitting of the Parliament of New South Wales.
