Golshifteh Farahani, Alain Chabat, Gaumont Team on ‘Santa & Cie’

 There’s lots of cute comedy here, though it’s never too cute, with a certain melancholy air hanging over things the way gray skies hang over Paris throughout December. (Indeed, the film’s one major fabrication may be the snowfall that arrives just in time for Christmas Eve.)
