The number of people aged 60 or over in China had reached 249.49 million, comprising 17.9 percent of the total population, in 2018 (Department of Economic & Social Affairs Population, 2007). Considering these statistics and generally increased longevity, a great number of older adults experiencing placement in a nursing home is inevitable.
