secret Army base biological and chemical weapons deep in the Utah desert

It was created in 1942 by the US Army Chemical Warfare Service as a more remote location than Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland. During the Second World War, the base tested a variety of weapons and defensive tools including antidotes for chemical agents, incendiary bombs and chemical spray systems.
